I have finished one of the projects held by my University: "Experimental Games Lab" in the Summer Semester 2020. In this project, I work in the team of four people (three people were an official project member and the other one whom responsible for the game music was our member's colleague) to develop a video game within three months period.

My role in this project is as a sole programmer. Previously, I only had 6 months of programming experience in Unity. However, I managed to finish the game which my team proposed at the start of the project within the time limit.

Game's Tutorial

My team made an endless 2.5D game titled "Dracula's Pizza Delivery". The main character is a Dracula whose job is to deliver pizzas to various monsters house around the ghost town. The goal is to achieve a high score by delivering as many pizzas as possible and avoid bumping into enemies. However, you must be careful since Dracula is allergic to Garlic! You can also grab potions in case you're low of health/live. This Gothic 8-bit style game also has a little prologue and tutorial which will guide the player through the game.

I gain a lot of experiences while developing this game from scratch. The project leader Gianluca Pandolfo guide my team really well on how to make an interesting playable game.

In this project, my team worked together completely online. It was very challenging and fun at the same time. Surprisingly, since I worked from home, I could concentrate better on my part as a programmer. Still, discussing things together online as a team is quite prone to misunderstanding.

All in all, this project truly pique my interest in the game industry. Although I almost didn't have time to rest, I had fun making this game!
